White Nancy is voted the "most loved" local landmark by Macclesfield Borough Council's Pride of Place

Stone built, White Nancy stands on top of Kerridge Hill overlooking Bollington, visible for miles it was built as a summer house by the Gaskell family in around 1815.

Rumours say it was built to commemorate the battle of Waterloo. Inside White Nancy there is a seat all round the wall with a large table in the centre. The table is circular, cut from a single piece of stone.
